Auto Research: Significant Increase in Global Vehicle Sales in 2013

As reported by focus2move, vehicle sales across the globe for the first six months of 2013 have increased significantly.

In China, the largest market, sales reached 10.7 million vehicles which is an increase of 12.8% since the previous corresponding period in 2012.

This compares to growth in the USA of 7.6%, where sales reached 7.8 million vehicles.

The country with the greatest growth rate was Thailand, where 735,339 vehicles were sold which represents a 21.4% increase.

Growth of more than 10% was also experienced in the UK, India, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia and Turkey.

However, it was not a positive story in all countries with France (-11%), Italy (-11%) and Japan (-9%) all recording significant falls in sales for the first half of 2013.
